Providing Better Smiles to Calgary & nearby areas of Alberta
Adults with misaligned teeth or bite conditions often avoid treatment, thinking that traditional metal braces are the only option, and an unappealing one at that. But an increasing number of adults are seeing the benefits of bringing their smiles into alignment with Invisalign.
Calgary dentist and Invisalign provider Dr. Jennifer Silver can help you determine if Invisalign is the best treatment option for your unique condition. To schedule your exam and Invisalign consultation, please call the Southcentre Dental Clinic at 403-278-1415.
Invisalign uses custom-made aligners that fit snugly over your teeth and progressively shift your teeth into the proper position. The aligners are made of a clear plastic that is virtually invisible—no unsightly metal wires or brackets—and the treatment process typically requires a period of only 12 to 18 months. The metalwork of standard braces can make you feel unprofessional or self-conscious about your appearance, and traditional braces can take upward of two years to straighten your smile.
Because your Invisalign aligners can be removed for meals and your dental hygiene routine, Invisalign treatment offers additional advantages for adults, including:
- No dietary restrictions
- No interference with teeth cleaning
- No discoloration of your teeth
- No irritation of your cheeks and gums
Invisalign also limits your time in a dental office. You are able to change your aligners at home, and your office visits focus on monitoring your progress; there are no painful tightenings or adjustments necessary.
If you’re an adult who would like to learn more about options for treating misaligned teeth or the bite conditions known as malocclusions, please contact Southcentre Dental Clinic today. Dr. Silver is proud to serve patients from the greater Calgary, Alberta, area.
