Providing Better Smiles to Calgary & nearby areas of Alberta Anyone who is in good dental health is potentially a candidate for porcelain veneers. They can be an ideal treatment option for most dental patients and often help achieve the smile you’ve always wanted. However, when you are considering any type of cosmetic dentistry or procedure to makeover your smile, it is a good idea to learn how to protect your investment in cosmetic dentistry. If you are in good health, then you may be an exemplary candidate for porcelain veneers. There are some instances where a pre-existing dental condition may pose a challenge:
- Inadequate tooth enamel
- Severe misalignment
- Teeth grinding or bruxism
- Excessive tooth decay
- Periodontal disease
Any of these particular problems will require treatment with general dentistry before veneers can be safely applied. By being proactive and setting the stage for your porcelain veneers to last as long as possible, you are well on your way to address any dental issues like:
- Misshapen or crooked teeth
- An uneven smile line
- Gaps between teeth
No matter which of these dental issues you have, Dr. Jennifer Silver can work with you to achieve the smile you’ve always desired. During your initial consultation, we will listen closely to your individual goals for your smile and guide you to the best cosmetic dentistry that will meet your needs. Porcelain veneers are generally as easy to care for as natural teeth, by brushing twice daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush and flossing at least once daily after brushing. If you have any further questions about porcelain veneers, please contact Dr. Jennifer Silver today or call (403) 278-1415 to schedule your preliminary consultation. We serve patients in the Calgary, Alberta area.
