What is Smile Enhancement?

Smile enhancement involves a personalized combination of cosmetic dental procedures tailored to your individual needs. With the help of modern dental tools such as computers and lasers, Dr. Silver can provide effective and efficient smile enhancement solutions.

During your consultation, Dr. Silver will use a digital intraoral camera to take photos and create a baseline for your treatment plan. You’ll be able to view before and after images on a large, 42-inch monitor to help you make informed decisions about your smile enhancement journey.

How CEREC Works

The process starts with digital imaging to produce accurate, 3D models of your teeth and mouth. These images are then sent to the computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) system, which creates custom restorations. Dr. Silver can custom design your crown on a computer screen, checking for perfection before it’s constructed. The CEREC system then uses durable, dental-grade porcelain to create your precision fitting restorations on the spot. Dr. Silver monitors the production of your restorations, and once completed, she places them during the same office visit.

Why choose CEREC over traditional methods?

Traditional restorative dental treatments typically require multiple appointments spread over weeks to months to create the crown in a laboratory, which often involves wearing a temporary crown. This can be problematic, as the temporary crown can fall off, causing pain and discomfort. With CEREC, you only need to be frozen once, and there is a reduced possibility of bacterial leakage into the tooth.

CEREC may be used to create:

It’s important to note that CEREC treatment is most efficient when only a small number of restorations are necessary. Patients who need a series of porcelain veneers may be better served by the traditional approach to creating and placing them.
